GroupCall gives schools the ability to send text messages (SMS) and automated voice calls to the mobile phones and landlines of parents, and then manages their responses. GroupCall is easy-to-use Windows software which integrates and reads pupil and attendance information from SIMS, CMIS, Phoenix & RM Integris. It can also be used for general parental communications (e.g. school closures).

A list of pupils marked unauthorised (or with any other attendance code) can be produced by clicking a single button. Once the list has been reviewed by the user, they can type any message they want to send or pick a message prepared previously. The message text is then sent to the GroupCall messaging server via an internet connection, which manages onward transmission as a text message or voice call. The user can control how each messages is sent (text or voice) in any combination.

The voice feature of GroupCall calls landlines (or mobile phones), speaks the message from school and records a response from the parent (where necessary). This response is brought back to the GroupCall software in school and kept in their local school database where it can be replayed and/or kept for as long as required. Schools can update the status of a call, select the appropriate unauthorised absence code and print reports of the day’s calls. A history is kept of all messages sent.

  • LiveRegister - Attendance marks written to the MIS by LiveRegister can be queried by GroupCall to produce a list of students marked unauthorised (or other attendance codes).

  • Thousands of Free Messages - All GroupCall subscriptions include free messages and additional messages do not have to be purchased in in advance.
  • Confirmed Delivery - The systems provides transmission statuses for all messages sent. If a response is required from the parent, the system will keep retrying.
  • Emergency Contact - Groups of contacts can be copied to the GroupCall website and with a unique User ID & Password, these can be accessed to send messages from home or any internet connected PC.
