Impero Software - Testimonials

See what some of our existing customers think of Impero:

We would never consider teaching pupils in a room containing, footballs, chemicals, Bunsen burners, etc., with free access to all equipment. The distraction would be too great to allow serious learning.

In an ICT lab, we do just that. We expect pupils to focus on, for example, the use of absolute and relative cell references in a spreadsheet, while providing them with access to the Internet, games, email, chat and so on.

Impero can remove the distraction and help pupils focus on the task at hand by easily blocking out distracting features.

No more smug looks from pupils thinking they are being clever in checking their email in place of doing the work the teacher has set. Impero enables the teacher in the ICT lab to do exactly what teachers have been doing in traditional classrooms for years, namely to create an environment where pupils focus on the task at hand with no distraction to learning.

At Up Holland High School We use Impero to help staff monitor what the pupils are doing and to show the whole class a specific pupils screen. We also use Impero to help staff manage internet access and program access, so if a pupil(s) are playing games on a specific internet site that site can be instantly blocked or if they are using programs that the teacher doesn’t want the pupils to be using then they can also block that. Screens can be locked in order for a member of staff to approach a pupil about what it is he/she is doing at the time of a violation.

Impero is a great way of monitoring your whole classroom at once but from an administrator’s point of view, all of the workstations that you currently have a license for can also be viewed.

All in all Impero is a very useful piece of software to have on your network.
